Rule 135
Study leave
: (1) Study leave for armed police personnel who are going to study in an open competition or inter-departmental competition or are nominated by the government of Nepal with the approval of the Inspector General of Armed Police with the approval of the Inspector General of Armed Police who are going to study on a scholarship received by the Government of Nepal in a subject that is useful and essential to the Armed Police Force. will be given.
(2) The armed police personnel will get study leave once or several times during the service period up to three years. But if the government of Nepal deems it necessary, it can extend the period of study leave by two years.
(3) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (2), armed police personnel who have been nominated and taken study leave for the purpose of study shall not be granted additional study leave for the purpose of studying additional subjects or obtaining additional degrees.
(4) Armed police personnel on study leave will get full salary.
(5) On the recommendation of the Inspector General of Armed Police, the armed police personnel who are going to study on private endeavors may be given study leave in accordance with sub-rule (2) on the recommendation of the Inspector General of Armed Police, in matters that are useful and necessary for the Armed Police Service or related groups.
(6) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (4), armed police personnel who are on study leave in accordance with sub-rule (5) shall not receive salary for the period of study leave.
(7) Armed police personnel who have not completed five years of service shall not be entitled to study leave. However, in the event that there is no candidate who fulfills the qualifications required to be nominated for the scholarship received by the Government of Nepal, or the armed police personnel who have fulfilled such qualifications do not want to study, if the Government of Nepal gives approval on the recommendation of the Inspector General of the Armed Police, study leave can be granted to the armed police personnel who have completed three years of service.
(8) Nomination of Armed Police personnel for study leave shall be made on the basis of seniority among eligible candidates.
(9) Government of Nepal to provide any necessary training for the implementation of any plan or programmeIf a police employee is nominated and posted, he will be sent as a job during such training period and he will get full salary throughout that period. But this kind of duty should be for the purpose of training only and no training duty shall be given to any armed police personnel when they are sent to acquire academic qualifications.
(10) Before leaving for study or training, armed police personnel who take study leave or go for training shall return to their service after completion of such study or training and return to their service for the following period:- Period of study or training Minimum period to be served< br> (a) up to three months up to one year (b) From three months to nine months Three years (c) From nine months to one year Five years (d) One year to two years Seven years (e) Two years to three years Eight years (f) Three years to four years Nine years (g) From four years to five years Ten years (11) If the armed police personnel who have taken study leave or returned for training do not perform compulsory service for the period as per sub-rule (10), the salary allowance received during the study leave or training period, for studyIf the expenses are incurred on behalf of the Government of Nepal, the expenses and other amounts mentioned in the acknowledgment will be recovered from them as well as government dues.
(12) Once an unpaid study leave has been approved for study in accordance with this rule, the period of that leave shall not be converted into a paid study leave.
